In
crisis, Timing Is Everything Crisis tarnishes your image and destroys your reputation. To survive, you have a myriad of strategies you can employ. For the next month or so, our tips will cover a few. In crisis, Timing Is Everything. A quick, and sustained response beats hesitation and evasiveness every time! First, there are instances for which no response, or delayed response, is better when dealing with a crisis. An example includes a situation where no one is directly affected or hurt, or there is no audience to whom to apologize or try to make amends. Other than in such rare instance, you must respond thoughtfully, quickly and frequently. In a frenzy, the media wants answers. There is a developing information vacuum. To fill this information vacuum, the media would interview anyone willing to talk, who seems peripherally involved or have any knowledge about the situation. In a developing crisis, every passing moment counts. You want to control what is said about you if you can. It is your story. You must grab the headline from the beginning and not let go!
